Events Spanish River Community High School Foundation will host the 1st annual Progressive Dinner on Saturday March 13th. Honored guests include principal, Dr. Susan Atherely and educators from the High School. The reception will be followed by full course dinners at host homes of Spanish River families. The dinners provide great “course selections” to include food, new friendships and education on the foundation. Each house will have a teacher or administrator to fill guests in on the latest happenings at the school.
The dinner is the brainchild of parent and Foundation board member Nanette Saraga. “It brings together the Foundation and the parents and let’s parents know what the foundation does.” Saraga said.
The Spanish River Community High School Foundation has one purpose: to raise revenue to supplement public funding of education in order to enhance the climate of excellence for all Spanish River students. Founded in 2003 by a group of concerned parents to overcome severe cuts in funding, the Foundation is committed to fostering a partnership that reaches out to all segments of the community for contributions and input on funding priorities. The Spanish River School Foundation is a 501(c)(3)organization.
Foundation president Leslie Steinberg would like to broaden the Foundations base of support through better communication about the Foundation and why every dollar of support makes a difference. “Together we can ensure the quality of a Spanish River education today and in the future”. All proceeds from ticket sales from this exciting event benefit the Foundation.
